This Cookie & Tracking Notice explains how AICyberNav ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, and similar tracking technologies when you visit or use our platform. This notice should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function properly, improve user experience, and provide analytics information to site operators. Other tracking technologies, such as pixel tags (also called web beacons), work similarly by placing a small, transparent image on a page to record that a visit occurred.

2. Cookies We Use

We organize the cookies and tracking technologies used by AICyberNav into the following categories:

2.1 Essential Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.

2.2 Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our Service by collecting aggregated, anonymized usage information.

Cookie Purpose Duration Type

2.3 Preference Cookies

3. Third-Party Cookies and Services

We integrate with the following third-party services that may set their own cookies or tracking technologies:

3.1 Polsia Analytics

Polsia Analytics is our analytics provider. It uses a pixel beacon and a locally stored visitor identifier (polsia_vid) to collect the following data:

  • Page views: Which pages you visit and when.
  • Visitor sessions: Session duration and navigation patterns.
  • Conversion events: Whether you complete key actions such as starting an assessment or purchasing a report.
  • Referral source: How you arrived at our site.

This data is pseudonymous and is not linked to your personal identity without additional information. The visitor identifier is stored in your browser's localStorage and persists across sessions.

3.2 Stripe

When you make a payment on our platform, Stripe (our payment processor) may set cookies necessary for fraud prevention and payment processing. These cookies are governed by Stripe's Cookie Policy. Stripe cookies are only loaded on pages that involve payment functionality.

4. How to Manage Cookies

You can control and manage cookies in several ways:

4.1 Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings. You can typically:

  • View cookies currently stored on your device.
  • Delete all or specific cookies.
  • Block cookies from specific or all websites.
  • Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is being placed.

Instructions for managing cookies vary by browser:

  • Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Cookies and site data

4.2 Clearing Analytics Data

To remove the Polsia Analytics visitor identifier, clear your browser's localStorage for the AICyberNav domain. This will reset your visitor session and a new pseudonymous identifier will be generated on your next visit.

4.3 Do Not Track

We respect the Do Not Track (DNT) browser signal. When we detect a DNT signal, we limit tracking to essential cookies only and do not load the analytics beacon.

Please note: Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using core features of the Service, including authentication and assessment completion. Analytics and preference cookies can be disabled without affecting core functionality.

5. Analytics Tracking Details

Beyond cookies, our analytics implementation tracks the following events to improve the Service:

  • Page Views: Recorded when you navigate to a page on the Service. Includes the page URL, timestamp, and referrer.
  • Session Start/End: Recorded when you begin and end a browsing session to measure engagement duration.
  • Assessment Funnel Events: Recorded when you start, progress through, and complete a security assessment. Used to identify drop-off points and improve the assessment flow.
  • Conversion Events: Recorded when you complete a purchase or sign up for a service. Used to measure the effectiveness of the platform.

All analytics data is transmitted via a pixel beacon to Polsia Analytics servers, where it is processed and stored in accordance with data retention policies described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Updates to This Notice

We may update this Cookie & Tracking Notice from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or technologies. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this notice periodically.
